Scan-Cardio
3D/4D/5D Echocardiographic Freehand Reviewing System
›Scan-Cardio‹ is the powerful software for processing and visualising 4D cardiac ultrasound data. This product upgrades any conventional cardiac Ultrasound device to a 3D/4D Cardio Tomograph.

ECG triggered free hand acquisition

›Scan-Cardio‹ is a new, powerful tool for the acquisition and visualisation of dynamic 3D cardiac ultrasound data based on our product InViVo-ScanNT. With InViVo-Cardio any conventional 2D-ultrasound device can be easily upgraded to a full-scale 4D (i.e. 3D organ plus motion) or dynamic 4D-ultrasound (overlap of the Doppler information over the 4D sequence) tomography system.

The main characteristics of the system include:

  • ECG Trigger for synchronising the image acquisition with the heart phases
  • Free-hand scanning of the heart or blood vessels by any transducer including harmonic imaging
  • Arbitrary trigger events within the cardiac cycle
  • Arbitrary number of images per heart cycle. The user may acquire one, two (e.g. end diastole and end systole) or more images/cycle or even continuous acquisition at video frame rate.
Standard Features:
  • Display of cardiac 3D/4D b-mode and colour flow
  • Various visualisation modes (Gradient Shading, Semitransparent and MIP)
  • Axis aligned and/or arbitrary oriented cutting planes
  • Average pre-processing for scans within 2-3 minutes
  • Ultra-fast 3D visualisation algorithms enabling 3D display up to real-time
  • Extremely simple, intuitive and fast measurement functionality (e.g. angles, distances, areas, volumetry)
  • Available on standard PCs under Windows NT

Example of a freehand acquisition of the aortic and mitric valve.
