Only this way the necessary combination of medical know-how with manual skills can be acquired. Only this way all pathologies including rare cases can be comprising trained.

The simulator behaves practically like an ultrasound scanner and thus permits the selection of stored patients respectively cases/pathologies. Their Investigation is performed by section views which are visualized in real-time according to the position of the abdominal, Brest and transvaginal probe. Particularly the latter permits training without limitation due to inherent impairment of the patient. Thus, not only training of students but also training of post-graduate physicians is enabled through pathologies which are rarely accessible due to rare incidence.

The system contains an image data base with case/task description and tutorial software to find the correct view, to do biometry etc.

It is equally suitable for autonomous training as for supporting teaching events, examination of learning and quality assurance.
